AAU TWIRLERS PERFORM AT THE 2014 CAPITAL ONE BOWL

On New Year’s Day some of our AAU Baton Twirling members had the opportunity to perform on ABC-TV during the Capital One Bowl and "America's Best Halftime Show" featuring music sensation Hunter Hayes! 

AAU Baton National Chair, Candice Dowdy had this to say about the Capital One Bowl All American Halftime Show, “I believe that it is a great opportunity for every twirler to participate in. The Halftime Show is ran by an amazing, hardworking and dedicated staff.  ESP Productions puts on a terrific show every year and recruits a major pop/country artist to perform.  Girls from all over the country have a chance to be on the field with hundreds of performers in front of thousands of spectators. These girls get to meet, hang out and have fun with one another for an entire week/weekend. This is a great opportunity to twirl on a professional football stadium and enjoy performing with a famous pop artist.”

The Capital One Bowl invites talented Cheerleaders, Pom Squads, Dancers, Twirlers, and Flags between the ages of twelve and twenty-one years old, may complete an audition process (on videotape or in person). Those performers selected as All American Cast Members will qualify as an official All American halftime All American Halftime Show on New Year's Day in Orlando, Florida!  

AAU Baton Twirling’s own National Chair, Candice Dowdy has been choreographing the twirling routine and working with the ESP staff for the past few years.  Candy stated, “I can honestly say that they put on a terrific, thrilling Halftime Show.
